CCR Rule Compliance Data & Information

CCR Compliance

On April 17, 2015, the EPA published the final rule for the regulation and management of coal combustion residuals (CCR) under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The rule (USEPA 40 CFR Part 257 and 261), applies to electric utilities and independent power producers that fall within NAICS code 221112, and that produce or store CCR materials in impoundments or landfills. The requirements of this rule, which will be phased in over the next several years, apply to the CCR management at the Sikeston Power Station, for the Fly Ash Impoundment and the Scrubber Sludge/Bottom Ash Impoundment.

As a part of the rule, EPA requires owners and operators of any applicable CCR unit to develop and maintain a publicly accessible Internet site. This site serves to comply with ยง257.107, Publicly Accessible Internet Site Requirements.
